About Us / Representative Profile
"Why is it that the more we pursue affluence,
the more unfree people become?"
This question has been the basso continuo
of my 30-year career.
Representative Profile
From international business experience in semiconductors, IT, and AI, to an encounter with permaculture, then social entrepreneur development in Uzbekistan — what appears to be a disparate career trajectory has one consistent question running through it. "Recovering what excessive economic development has lost, and creating a social model suited to the next era." That is the answer to 30 years of exploration.
Engaged in business and consulting in Silicon Valley (USA), Toronto (Canada), Germany, Italy, and Estonia in semiconductor, IT, and AI sectors. Witnessed both the light and shadow of economic growth and technological innovation on the cutting edge.
After returning to Japan, engaged in entrepreneur development and new business creation consulting at his own NPO. Led next-generation development programs including Yamagata University EDGE-NEXT and Tohoku University of Art & Design VB Seminar. Also served as Officer and CTO of Yonezawa City Candidate DMO Corporation.
Found the answer to the question "Why doesn't it sustain?" — which he had continued to face in entrepreneur development and regional revitalization fields — within permaculture philosophy. Decided to place the system of sustainable social design based on natural principles at the core of his consulting.
Participated as project leader in the U-HOPE Project in Uzbekistan. This initiative carries three missions.
─ For Japan (1)
Breaking away from excessive Western dependence, building relationships with Central Asian nations as a bridgehead for constructing new ties centered on Eurasia.
─ For Japan (2)
Learning from Uzbekistan, where a permaculture-like culture of traditional good living remains, and conveying wisdom suited to the next era to Japan.
─ For Uzbekistan
Exploring with local key figures a development model that minimizes the negative aspects of Japan's development, and implementing it through accompaniment.
