Why success stories cannot be transplanted
Regional revitalization efforts are underway across the country. Yet no matter how much you study other regions' success stories, leverage subsidies, or bring in experts — root causes remain unresolved while time and budgets are consumed.
The reason is simple. The 20th-century regional development model, designed for population growth and economic expansion, does not function in an era of population decline and resource constraints.
We design the "regeneration" of communities, society, and organizations with permaculture philosophy at the core — building regional models suited to the next era that reduce external dependency and circulate autonomously.
